Front of photo

Back of photo. The inscription on the right side of the postcard reads:
"This is our home." No further information.

The inscription on the left side of the photo reads: "L???
was here on holiday when by chance a photographer passed by. These are my
two foster children."

Front of photo.

Back of photo. The inscription read: " We live
in this little house on the first floor. It's next behind G???? in
Heimatstrasse. They are building a new street and ??????"
(Note: The X on the photo marks their home and, clearly,
the X is on the second floor -- however -- the inscription says "first floor."
The discrepancy is caused by the way Europeans enumerate the floors of a
building -- in the US, the ground floor is the first floor -- in Europe, the
ground floor is the ground floor and the first floor is the first floor above
the ground floor, or, what we in the US refer to as the second floor.)
Many thanks to
Jantine Raaben of The Netherlands who saw this page and translated the
inscriptions on these photos.
